Position Overview

We are seeking a mid level Data Scientist to join a team of experts focused on developing technical, data-centric solutions for the Intelligence Communit. These solutions typically involve enabling consistent data collection at the front end of a process to support data-driven decision making at the backend. Close customer interactions are needed to understand how to best make their processes data-centric. The ideal candidate will apply their technical skills and customer-centric approach to solve complex intelligence challenges by developing and implementing advanced methods for acquiring, processing, and analyzing large-scale datasets to support the creation and enhancement of GEOINT products, systems, and workflows. Apply data mining, statistical analysis, and mathematical modeling to uncover trends, improve operational efficiency, solve business challenges, and extract actionable intelligence. 

Key Responsibilities

 Develop and implement methodologies to enhance intelligence analysis and collection.

  • Transform / tranlate analytic requirements into data formats so that they can be used and with new analytical methodologies
  • Analyze and integrate complex datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and consistency throughout. Support the development of clear visualizations to uncover patterns and trends, build robust mathematical models to extract actionable insights, and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
  • Design, build, and rigorously test software applications while enabling seamless data exchange across interconnected information systems.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI w/CI poly
  • BS degree and 2 years of relevant experience (substitutions are allowed for RELEVANT volunteer experience, internships, professional certifications, military experience, different degree types, and a variety of other things…)
  • Prior experience using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, etc for developing data visualizations 
  • Prior experience with data collection, conditioning, and wrangling
  • Prior experience with SharePoint content management, lists, and forms
  • Prior experience developing complex Nintex workflows
  • Solid understanding of data analytics and statisitcs

Desired Qualifications

  • Background in creating and maintaining databases
  • Software coding experience (Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, Java, R and JavaScript)
  • Strong communications skills
  • NGA domian experience
  • Knowledge of or familiarity with intelligence analysis tools and platforms such as FADE MIST, FADE Watchbox, JEMA, DataXplorer, Tableau, ESRI dashboard, ArcPro, SAFEHOUSE, Mission Presenter, Thresher and Bohdi.
