Andrea Maugeri

Andrea “Hammy” Maugeri has 25 years of operational defense and security policy experience. Prior to joining Barone Consulting, Andrea served at the White House National Security Council as Director for Defense Policy and Strategy. He has held a series of progressive leadership roles across the National Security and Defense domains. His operational experience includes extensive work with Special Access Programs, leading Advanced Programs at HQ Pacific Air Forces and also serving as Chief of Special Technical Operations in support of operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Horn of Africa. He is a former commander of the 57th Information Aggressor Squadron, a DoD certified Cyber Red Team. His deep portfolio of experience extends across Management, Operations, Technology and International Defense Contracts, contracts across 11 different major weapons system types worth in excess of $500 million.

Hammy brings a decidedly collaborative approach to operations and mission work. Operating in highly complex and dynamic environments, he has lived the tactical realities of team coordination and situational awareness. He has a deep appreciation for the productivity realized from information flowing across all levels of a project. His pro-active risk mitigation style has been a critical success factor. His deep bench of experience across domains, people, processes and technologies gives him a truly inter-disciplinary outlook. He maintains an open-door policy and actively encourages interaction on virtually every subject.

In his current role as Vice President, Operations, Hammy is responsible for Operations, Risk Management and Compliance. At the executive level, he is responsible for establishing alignment between corporate objectives, customer priorities, and our capabilities. He has stewardship of key projects including aligning company practice and processes with ISO 9001 and CMMI/CMMC frameworks. Hammy is very focused on assuring a comprehensive approach that assures Barone’s Consulting resiliency and forward growth.
