Kevin Barone

Kevin is an accomplished Intelligence Community professional with a long history of providing mission critical and advanced technical support for the national security mission. He started his career in the United States Air Force where he oversaw foreign weapon systems exploitation and technical work spanning aircraft, submarines, vessels and airships. While at DARPA, Kevin served as Lead technical SETA for a number of programs; developing state of the art algorithms and sensor processing systems, development of innovative techniques leveraging ML to analyze electromagnetic signals and contextualize target systems responses, amongst others in a broad portfolio. Across multi-domain and complex interdisciplinary models, he has always been a hands-on builder and maker. Kevin has 30 years of progressive experience across R&D and advanced technologies supporting DoD and IC partners.

The founding vision for Barone Consulting was very clear. The founders had a deep appreciation for the complex web of global risks and challenges facing the IC community and consequently the risks to everyone. Kevin understood that advancement and innovation in technologies was a critical enabler, the import of building hardened and resilient capabilities. It was paramount to establish a company, that had a defined ethos, that welcomed everyone in pursuit of a common mission, a shared bond, and shared principles. A company that focused less on bureaucracy and more on results. Kevin’s vision is a reality today. Barone Consulting is a trusted partner to our government customers, corporate team-mates, and most importantly to our people.

As CEO and President, he is responsible for assuring the companies’ operations and capabilities align with the overarching vision. He has a keen interest in optimization of our financial, technical, and business management. Given his inter-disciplinary approach, he is also the Chief Technology Officer, and Chief Engineer. Kevin actively contributes to proposal definition and ideation, and perhaps his greatest responsibility is to ensure the proper environs and climate for our people. Kevin has an open-door policy, he truly enjoys and benefits from the interactions with all of our stakeholders.
